It is still a bloody scene at the residence of the NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine in Magere as police and army continue to fire live bullets and teargas.
The majority of supporters who had camped out of Bobi wine’s residence have sustained minor and major injuries since their presidential candidate was whisked off in a black police van at a high speed to his home.
Among those injured and sprayed with tear gas include; Joel Ssenyonyi the NUP spokesperson who sustained wounds on the leg, Bobi’s bodyguard among other supporters who have been injured by gunshot wounds.
National Unity Platform presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine is still in police custody close to 2 hours after he was whisked off by police operatives in a black van from Kyamboggo a few minutes after getting nominated.
Presidential Candidate Bobi Wine was this morning arrested by a dozen police officers shortly after he was nominated.
Bobi wine was abruptly netted outside the gate of the Kyambogo presidential nomination center after giving an emotional speech.
A team of heavily armed security officers demanded he gets out of his ride and follows them to a BLACK police van parked right in front.
Bobi was thrown to the ground before finally being picked up and whisked off in the Van to Magere.
Meanwhile a scuffle has continued to erupt this afternoon even after he was taken to his residence at Magere.
Police blocked off the road and denied Bobi the chance to proceed to his offices in Kamwokya to launch his manifesto that is slated for this afternoon.
