A swap deal between Barcelona’s Nelson Semedo and Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo is in the works.
Semedo joined Barcelona from Portuguese side Benfica in 2017, but has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the starting XI in Spain.
meanwhile, Cancelo is in a similar situation, having spent much of his debut season in England watching Kyle Walker keep him out of the side.
Now, a swap between the two could be on the cards, with Semedo (26) and Cancelo (25) both reportedly unhappy and looking to leave their respective clubs. Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes, who represents both players, is said to be “trying to make ends meet” to make the deal happen.
